Happy Thanksgiving, fellow magicians! With the holiday weekend, two members of our team were traveling, and the last managing to pick up food poisoning.  We couldn’t meet all of the goals we had set for ourselves in our last update, but don’t take that to mean that we made no progress at all; We’re thrilled with what we’ve gotten done!

Greg, spent probably too much time working on two new environments, although he’s very happy with the results. Check out our new lava and snow mountains:

Chip worked on making the actors for the procedural castle generator from the wonderful assets we received from Leif last week

Doing a development update without showing you something getting blown up just feels wrong, so we had to fix that. So, how do you know if a Fictorum is visiting your castle?

Oh, don’t worry. I’m pretty sure you’ll figure it out.

Next week:

Here’s what we’re looking to get done in the next couple of days.

  • Procedural castle improvements
  • Sound improvements (the game looks much better than it sounds right now)
  • New spell (and we can’t tell you what it is because we haven’t decided yet!)

We are truly thankful to have a wonderful project to work on with incredible teammates. We love seeing what takes shape each week. Talk to you in the next update—Try not to blow anything up!
