Trees not only look better after being hit by a spell, but they can be used tactically to destroy buildings, enemies, and other trees!<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/gfycat.com\/WellgroomedPepperyIncatern<\/p>\n<h3>Evil Quests<\/h3>\n<p>We\u2019ve decided to start including evil quests into event rotation. Want to purge a town of citizens? Destroy key structures in a village? Have at it! We\u2019ll be adding in more of these types of quests as time goes on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fictorum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/HighresScreenshot00005.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1251\" src=\"https:\/\/fictorum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/HighresScreenshot00005-1024x560.png\" alt=\"Evil Quests\" width=\"500\" height=\"273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fictorum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/HighresScreenshot00005-1024x560.png 1024w, https:\/\/fictorum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/HighresScreenshot00005-300x164.png 300w, https:\/\/fictorum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/HighresScreenshot00005-768x420.png 768w, https:\/\/fictorum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/HighresScreenshot00005-600x328.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Bugs Fixes and Minor Enhancements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Changes to maximum health will keep the player\u2019s current health percentage<\/li>\n<li>The third person camera behavior has been improved<\/li>\n<li>Character ragdoll weight has been increased by 50%<\/li>\n<li>New ability sound effects have been added<\/li>\n<li>Spell casting sound effect quality has been drastically improved<\/li>\n<li>Movement speed will properly change immediately whenever equipment is changed<\/li>\n<li>Clicking Game Defaults on Customize Character screen will reset the accessory and facial hair to hood (or Helmet of Shame on Reese Mode) and beard<\/li>\n<li>Treasure Chests will not roll as easily<\/li>\n<li>Inquisition Captains will no longer get stuck<\/li>\n<li>Health pickups are more or less rare depending on the current difficulty<\/li>\n<li>Toggle sprint option added to the Options Menu<\/li>\n<li>Toggle shaping cursor option added to the Options Menu<\/li>\n<li>Quest indicator visibility option added to the Options Menu<\/li>\n<li>Quest progress bar visibility option added to the Options Menu<\/li>\n<li>Night levels will be slightly more visible<\/li>\n<li>Enemies have a slight scale variation<\/li>\n<li>The volume for hard landing sound effects have been reduced<\/li>\n<li>Selling items should no longer cause swaps\/drags<\/li>\n<li>Mana threshold has been nerfed<\/li>\n<li>Enemies that are thrown far from the map will be automatically killed in a few seconds<\/li>\n<li>Pressing the cancel hotkey no longer closes the keybinding menu<\/li>\n<li>Sentinel towers will have an effect when an aegis crystal is charged<\/li>\n<li>Corrupted lich spells have had their area of effect reduced. The visual effect size matches the radius<\/li>\n<li>Grassy maps will no longer have snowy weather<\/li>\n<li>Tooltips have been shifted so that they are no longer hidden by the cursor<\/li>\n<li>The Slow Time ability now works properly<\/li>\n<li>Returning to a previous chapter will now function properly after beating the Grand Inquisitor or Rintara<\/li>\n<li>While sprint is active, stamina is only drained when the character is moving<\/li>\n<li>Haven will now properly block javelins, rocks, and arrows<\/li>\n<li>Animation skating has been significantly reduced<\/li>\n<li>Transition animations to Dash have been improved significantly<\/li>\n<li>Enemies properly transition to an attack stance\/speed once the player has been spotted<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a serious game interface bug for low resolutions<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a bug that would change the location of the chapter end mountain once after reloading<\/li>\n<li>Almamar has been fixed to progress the event<\/li>\n<li>Weather effect lighting will be brighter in general<\/li>\n<li>Increased font size on some game interface elements<\/li>\n<li>Opening Fictorum for the first time will automatically set the game default character colors and a randomized name for a new character<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a bug that would occasionally prevent the The Ascended starting title from being unlocked<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Twitch Stream<\/h2>\n<p>We\u2019ll be hosting another developer twitch stream on 4\/18 at 8pm PT.
