We&#8217;ve been trying to convey that to the player not only through gameplay, but also by writing all of our text-based events in past tense and by through creating a character history at the end of a playthrough, showing that the player&#8217;s triumphs and failures were remembered through the ages.<\/p>\n<p>Chip had the idea to combine our history, event, and game over windows to help impress the idea more clearly to the player. He worked to include the event window within the history window and, upon starting a new event, the window quickly scrolls down through all of the entries to the latest one, allowing the player to take action.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"gfyitem\" data-title=\"false\" data-autoplay=\"true\" data-controls=\"false\" data-expand=\"false\" data-id=\"SecretCommonAtlanticbluetang\"><\/h2>\n<p>As the player progresses, icons will appear at the bottom of each location in the character history that share additional story tidbits with the player. If the Fictorum\u00a0dies, a final entry is added and shown to the player.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"gfyitem\" data-title=\"false\" data-autoplay=\"true\" data-controls=\"false\" data-expand=\"false\" data-id=\"InsecureDangerousCapeghostfrog\"><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">New Music<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/rainfall.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rainfall<\/a> whipped up some great new music for Fictorum! Here&#8217;s\u00a0a sample of each:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/slYsax3x4Yg\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Corrupted Faction Music<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u4okct_jOKI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bug fixes and Minor Enhancements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed a bug that would cause Temprae and <span data-sheets-value=\"{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:&quot;Myglia Marshlands&quot;}\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{&quot;2&quot;:513,&quot;3&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:0},&quot;12&quot;:0}\">Myglia Marshlands to load improperly<\/span><\/li>\n<li>More item affixes have been added for chapters 5-8<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a issue that would occasionally prevent interaction with the inventory rune set menu<\/li>\n<li>The player third person camera\u00a0will respond better while inside buildings<\/li>\n<li>The campfire on the title screen is no longer audible<\/li>\n<li>Enemy spawns on the Desert Bridge map are now working properly<\/li>\n<li>Corrupted assassins should be slightly easier to see<\/li>\n<li>Spell details on inventory tooltips will properly update after enchantment<\/li>\n<li>Bandit sentinel towers should no longer spawn with archers<\/li>\n<li>Character history will now track player choices made and the current chapter<\/li>\n<li>Archers will continue to fire at the player after the player has been knocked down<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Coming Weeks<\/h2>\n<p>Chip is currently occupied with singing Christmas songs around Seattle, so December will likely be a lighter month for the SBG team, but we&#8217;ll be back to full strength soon enough!
